We didn't get to try any apple butter yesterday, but we still had a great time at the 2016 Apple Butter Festival in Grand Rapids, Ohio. We met lots of wonderful people and had a great time playing for everyone. There was the huge crowd (est. over 20,000 visitors) at the one-day festival, and it was great fun trying to get the folks shopping at all the flea market booths to stop walking and listen for a bit. It has always been a joke between us and our audience that we are happy to take song requests, but we never play them, but yesterday we had several requests that were already on our set list, so we re-arranged and played them early, just to see if we could pull in more of the walkers-by. It made for a very good day! Now, we've got a bit of a break before our next show on Nov. 11th, so we're all going to use the time to get some necessary work done at our homes, work on some new songs, and continue writing for our next trip into the studio. Thanks to Bud, Ken, and all the folks in Grand Rapids for making our day so much fun!!
